Main Purpose:
Impala Terminals Group facilitates the global trade of commodities by offering producers and consumers reliable and efficient access to international markets. Through its network of 30 strategically located assets and operations in 20 countries, Impala provides critical storage and logistics infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses β Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the worldβs largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors.
ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service.
Main Purpose: To operate equipment for Pellet Dome: unloading trucks, loading vessels, and assisting in other daily operational tasks as needed.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, shutdown, and secure equipment under normal and emergency conditions, from the control room or in the field.
- Maintain all daily logs and truck records.
- Record operating conditions for the terminal and report any irregularities.
- Responsible for supervising and monitoring the required temperatures & product moisture readings for the pellet operations.
- Responsible for performing the required checks to ensure the pellets meet our quality standards.
- Operate the truck unloading building, pellet dome conveyor equipment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and contribute to the modification of SOP to improve efficiency and quality of services as needed.
- Operate heavy equipment (wheel loader).
- Conduct a pre-use inspection on all equipment operated.
- Lubricate and grease equipment as per OEM Manual prior to operating equipment.
- Work overtime on an as-needed basis.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
- Ability to work at extreme heights.
- Ability to read, write, and understand directions.
- Report all Accidents, Incidents, and Near Misses.
- Follow all Terminal Operational and HSEC/Security Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure all emergency equipment is operational.
- Report any unusual or suspicious activity.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulatory agency requirements.
- Capable of receiving T.W.I.C. credentials.
- Complete all required annual training.
- Attend all scheduled pre-shift safety meetings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A minimum of 3 years confirmed experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Experience operating heavy machinery & conveyors
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team-oriented individual ready to contribute, learn, and grow.
