Job Description

Work directly with the Trader, Operator/Scheduler, and Commercial Analyst with regards to tracking and maintaining accuracy and completeness of trades in Vista. Responsibilities include:

Daily invoicing of trades and processing of product and ancillary trade-related invoices in Vista.
Preparation of approved invoices for wire transfer payment and coordination with treasury.
Timely and accurate settlement of sales, purchases, transportation, storages, and various ad hoc costs. Coordinate with local offices in each of the countries throughout Latin America to ensure accuracy of trade information into accounting systems.
Coordinate with Latin American Tax teams on accuracy of regional taxes and tax filings.
Work across teams (Traders, Operators, CAs, Accounting, Credit, Treasury, etc.) and Vitol offices to coordinate and maintain best practices across life cycle of a trade.
Budget and cost review, and reconciliation of all open items.
Inventory storage rolling โ€“ verification of volume and value of tank storages and in-transit activities.
Accounting of month end close responsibilities, to include reviewing assigned deals for accuracy of system generated accruals.
Reconcile booked to actual physical inventories.
Other projects as assigned, include involvement in preparation of schedules for yearend audit and interface with external auditors.

Qualifications

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration in Finance, Business Administration in Marketing, or a related field and 2 years of experience as an analyst or administrator in the energy or financial industry.
Experience to include:

1 year in a role with financial impacts of profit and loss associated with the movement of physical commodities products used in the energy supply chain: power, gasoline, naptha, and crude;
Interpreting contract key clauses and terms of executed contractual terms related to physical commodity movements;
Reviewing regulatory and tax documentation by working closely with both Compliance and Tax departments to ensure transactions are compliant with local laws and regulations.
1 year applying energy trading industry concepts for Latin American regional, including country specific organizations and institutions.
