Main Purpose:
Impala Terminals Group facilitates the global trade of commodities by offering producers and consumers reliable and efficient access to international markets. Through its network of 30 strategically located assets and operations in 20 countries, Impala provides critical storage and logistics infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses β Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the worldβs largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors.
ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service.
Main Purpose: To operate various types of mobile equipment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
General
- Safely operate mobile equipment in a terminal and marine environment, including congested areas such as ship holds and barges.
- Conduct a pre-use inspection report on all equipment.
- Lubricate and grease equipment as per OEM Manual prior to operating equipment.
- Ability to draft survey cargo barges.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, over water, in all weather conditions, and overtime on an as-needed basis.
- Adhere to all Operation Policies and Procedures and all local, state, and federal regulatory agency requirements.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
- Commit to growth, learning opportunities, and cross-training in role.
- Contribute knowledge and share personal experience for mutual development among team members.
Compliance Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security:
- Report all Accidents, Incidents, and Near Misses timely to Supervisor.
- Adhere to all Terminal HSEC/Security Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure all emergency equipment is functional.
- Report any unusual or suspicious activity.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Capable of receiving T.W.I.C. credentials.
- Complete all required annual training.
- Attend all scheduled pre-shift safety meetings.
Experience Knowledge Skills:
- Have a minimum of 2 years proven experience.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent experience.
- Proficient in the English language.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding work ethic.
